Dental implant treatment is always carried out under local anaesthetic by our highly skilled and gentle dentists here at New Life Teeth, to ensure you are comfortable. We are also able to offer sedation if you feel particularly nervous about your treatment, because your wellbeing is always our top priority. Following the dental implant procedure, you may feel some soreness for a few days, but this is easily managed with a soft diet and over-the-counter painkillers and it should soon fade.
No. Once a Prettau Bridge is fitted, it remains permanently attached to your dental implants and therefore part of your mouth, so it won’t move or slip as conventional dentures can. It is designed, however, to be removed by your dentist for maintenance purposes when required.
Cleaning your implants is as simple as caring for your natural teeth, with regular brushing and flossing. It’s important to clean between your implant bridge and gums once a day with a water flosser. Our dental teams in Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin, London and Manchester will give you full aftercare advice following your treatment.
