Our Dental Implant Process

When you visit our dentists for a smile consultation they will carry out a thorough assessment to assess your suitability.
This includes a CT bone density scan, measuring the density, width and depth of your jawbone. You will also be given a further x-ray review to check all is in order before signing our consent to treatment form.
Anaesthetic and sedation solutions are available to ensure the treatment remains relatively painless.
You will wake up an hour or so later with the implants already in.
A few hours later, we will fit your bridge to the implants and the day’s treatment will be complete. You will be able to resume normal activities within a day or so.
After approximately 10-14 days your stitches (if any) are removed and you can start eating soft solid foods; after about eight weeks you can eat normally.
Approximately three-four months later we will fit your final zirconia bridge which is fitted on a titanium bar. This is the highest quality material and provides the best success rate of any material on the market today.
Twice a year it is essential to have a check-up and visit our hygienist to ensure the long-term success of your implants.
